The second Yayphone.com iPhone application - "Probability" - has now been uploaded to the App Store for approval.
The Probability application allows for easy probability computations directly in your iPhone or iPod Touch. If you enter the number of trials and the probability of success for a given trial the application will compute the likelihood of observing a certain number of successful outcomes.
Example application: Assume that the probability of converting a sales call to a successful sale is 50 %. If ten sales calls are made, what is the probability of obtaining only four or less conversions from these ten calls? The Probability application gives you the answer (37.7 %).
Hopefully it'll show up in the App Store mid next week.

I got this app and I can see the legitimacy in using it for sales related tasks.
It would be nice to have an info/help page and/or the ability to change the existing parameters.
For example, it would be perfect if the app allowed you to calculate the 'actual' probability based on current trends and variables. As of now, you just input the probability, of say, 50%. I am wondering how someone would arrive at the probability % since so many industries are different.
This app really has some wiggle room to be fantastic - great for sales-driven tasks!
This is a great start at this point, but it can be so much improved - I think use of this app will take off!
Thank you.
